Guest Bedroom~Recent Finds

 HELLO FELLOW BLOGGERS....I KNOW IT HAS BEEN QUITE SOME TIME SINCE I LAST POSTED HERE ON BLOGGER. I HAVE BEEN MUCH MORE TIME ON PINTEREST LATELY. AS REQUESTED BY SOME FRIENDS, OLD AND NEW, THAT I SHOULD POST MORE OFTEN. THANK YOU FOR THOSE OF YOU HAVE SENT SWEET COMMENTS. WHICH ARE ALWAYS WELCOMED. TODAY, I THOUGHT I WOULD SHOW YOU THE GUEST BEDROOM AND SOME RECENT FINDS. ABOVE IS JUST SOME OF MY FAVORITE ANTIQUE VICTORIAN SILVER PIECES AND ANTIQUE MIRRORS....

 DON'T YOU JUST LOVE COLLECTING VINTAGE DRESS FORMS! I HAVE SOLD QUITE A FEW IN THE PAST FEW YEARS. THIS ONE PICTURED ABOVE I FOUND JUST LAST WEEK! SHE IS A PETITE SIZE BAUMAN ON A CAST IRON STAND. SHE IS NOW MY SECOND FAVORITE OF MY DRESS FORMS.... KEEPING HER SIMPLE WITH A SWEET CROWN, AND LOVELY VINTAGE PEARLS.

 TO THE FAR LEFT YOU WILL SEE AN ANTIQUE UNDERWOOD TYPEWRITER, JUST FOUND IT LAST WEEKEND TOO. I WOULD LOVE TO FIND ANOTHER PLACE FOR IT, BUT THIS IS WHERE IT WILL SIT FOR NOW. IT IS SUPER HEAVY!

 ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS TO COLLECT IS ANTIQUE SUITCASES! THE MORE THE MERRIER! THIS IS JUST ONE STACK THAT I HAVE DISPLAYED. I PARTICULARLY LIKE THEM DISPLAYED ON TOP OF CUPBOARDS, JUST TWO OR THREE MAKES A SIMPLE BUT STATELY IMPACT.

 AN ANTIQUE OIL PAINTING OF CABBAGE ROSES HANG ABOVE THE BED......
BURLAP PILLOW SLIPS DISPLAYED ON THE BED.....AND ADORABLE LAMPS FOUND AT MARSHALL'S :)

 ANOTHER RECENT FIND IS THIS WONDERFUL OLD FRAME, PERFECT FOR ONE OF MY FAVORITE ANTIQUE PRINTS. I LOVE HOW IT LOOKS WITH THE OLD SUITCASES. I WILL LEAVE YOU WITH THE PICTURES BELOW. Ironstone Collection~Dining Room Photos

I have been collecting vintage/antique white ironstone for just a few years now......There is just something about it that I just love, the clean lines and lovely detail on each piece...
I have a small dining room, so anything but all white, would make it feel much smaller!
A touch of whimsy with the huge ice cream sign was not what I had in store.....I just don't have anywhere else to display it, because I do love it.....
In case you haven't noticed, I love collecting vintage alarm clocks, in almost every room!
A touch of greenery stands out with all the white...and adds, to me, a welcoming look!
I've recently added a few pieces of brown transfer ware....very hard to find.....
Vintage coral, bird nest', antique silverware, and a cast iron grate add contrast as well....
To add a little separation between the white, I've added some vintage crochet pieces....
This is one of my favorite soup tureens filled with vintage coral pieces, so pleasing to the eye...
I am always downsizing my collections because you shouldn't keep it all....be sure to check me out on Ebay....My seller name is: Cottage-White

Vintage Laundry Room Photos

Just thought I would share photos of my vintage laundry room. Not much has changed in 2 years, so that must mean I like it the way it is.....collections of vintage white buttons, old doorknobs, and baby shoes displayed in old glass battery jars.....
An old french cabinet with old straw stuffed dolls resting in front.....

This old hanging cupboard I have had for many years, I love the old chippy beige paint....
Cute shelf below is just the right size for displaying vintage alarm clocks, and tarnished silver creamers, etc..
And the most important part of the laundry room is your necessities....fabric softener sheets and powder detergent displayed in antique glass jars.....with an old silver baby cup for a scoop.
Who says doing laundry can't be fun? Looking at collections while doing laundry....It will take your mind off all the work! Hope I inspired someone to decorate the most left out room in the house for decorating! Have a wonderful week!

Staggered Vintage Suitcases

In my last posting, I stated that I wanted to sell the vintage dress form mannequin....Sold!

And this is what I put in it's place....a huge stack of staggered vintage suitcases! I loved this look of staggering them, instead of being in a straight as a board stack! Saw the idea on Pinterest! For now this is what I love for this corner! Noticed I said *For Now* You just never know what I will be changing next!
I brought in my *Made in Paris* dress form....That I absolutely love with the suitcases!
And here is a full room view, well almost...I am loving the darker colors more for this room!

Favorite Weekend Finds!!

Just a little post......thought I would share with you my favorite weekend finds......a sweet tin heart made of ceiling tin with attached glass prism.....i just love the glimmering effect....pretty!An awesome antique loving cup, from one of my frequently shopped dealers at the Scott's Antique Show in Atlanta.....Hubby says I have enough trophy's....yeah right!

I have saved the best for last.....I just LOVE this french side table....Isn't it gorgeous??

I would so love to have an entire bedroom suite to match! Well, Maybe just another side table, and a dresser with mirror!! I could always paint my bed to match!! I am already thinking of ways to rearrange!! LOl ....Hope you all are enjoying your day!

Update On My Bath-Room Makeover!!

A MANTEL MIRROR HOLDS SOME OF MY VINTAGE TROPHY'S...A FRIEND ONCE ASKED ME WHY I LIKE THEM SO MUCH...WELL, THEIR COLOR, SHAPE, STYLE, PATINA, HISTORY BEHIND THEM!! THEY HAVE EVERYTHING WE LOOK FOR IN ANTIQUES! I ALSO LOVE VINTAGE RHINESTONE PINS, BUTTONS, OLD SHAVING MIRRORS.....
A RECENT FIND IS THIS VERY OLD PHARMACY CERTIFICATE....I JUST LOVE IT!! IT IS HANGING ABOVE AN OLD DOOR HEADER THAT HUBBY ADDED VINTAGE DOOR KNOBS TO, FOR HANGING MY VINTAGE CROCHET TOPS & PURSES....

I WONDERED IF THIS LOOKS TOO CROWDED ALL HANGING TOGETHER?? I WAS THINKING OF TAKING SOME OF IT AWAY.... I KINDA LIKE THIS GROUPING... IT LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
